History:

Grandmaster Woo Jong Pill who started Taekwondo in 1973 studied at Yongin University, where the first Taekwondo Department was created. He graduated as a top sparring player leading to his military years teaching Taekwondo to Korean Special Forces.

After his military service, he founded Cheung Do Kwan in 1988, with the goal of strengthening the mind, believing that a stronger mentality will help students grow without limit. . His development of Taekwondo started by coaching for the University of Hong Kong, the British Royal Navy Base & Osborn Barracks until the handover in 1997, as well as numerous International Schools & Clubhouses, where students of his started their own schools, spreading the growth of Taekwondo.

Cheung Do Kwan is now HK’s top Taekwondo school, strengthening the mind and bodies of students.
